新曲「Pickup Truck」がリリースされました！

この曲は２０２６年に入って最初に書いた曲で、楽しくて、カントリーで、ライブでも歌ってみんなでenjoyできる曲を書こう！と思って作曲した作品です。

ドラムでJackson, ベースでTsuruが参加してくれました！
この曲のバックストーリーを少し話すと、、、

「Pickup Truck」を書いていた頃、僕の周りには、社会人を辞めて一度実家に戻る人たちがいました。彼らの話を聞いていて気づいたのは、人には誰しも、一度“ホーム”に戻る時期があるのかもしれないということです。

僕自身も大学卒業後、アメリカから日本に帰ってきたあと、半年ほど実家で過ごしていました。その時間の中で、これからどう生きていくのか、自分は何を大切にしたいのかをゆっくり考えることができました。

この曲も、そんな主人公のストーリーです。

主人公は若い頃、街で暮らすことに憧れていました。田舎とは違う、キラキラした街の灯り。その中でいつか自分も暮らし、「成功」したいという夢を持っていました。

しかし実際に街へ出て生活してみると、思い描いていたような華やかな毎日ではありませんでした。むしろ、常に120%で働き続け、眠る時間もなく、楽しむことさえ忘れてしまうような日々。

そんな中で彼が思い出したのが、自分の“ホーム”でした。

広い空。太陽とそよ風。草原の匂い。そして、自分が一度「捨てた」と思っていた故郷にいた友達や家族の優しさ。

彼は街を離れ、もう一度故郷へ戻ることを決めます。

またあのPickup Truckに乗って、草原をドライブしたい。広い空の下で、風を浴びながら。

My new song “Pickup Truck” is out now!

This was the first song I wrote in 2026. I wanted to create something fun, country-inspired, and the kind of song people could enjoy together live.

Jackson played drums, and Tsuru joined on bass!

A little bit about the story behind the song…

When I was writing “Pickup Truck,” there were people around me who had quit their jobs and moved back home for a while. Listening to their stories made me realize that maybe everyone goes through a season where they return to their “home.”

After graduating from university, I also moved back to Japan from the US and spent about six months living with my family. During that time, I had the chance to really think about how I wanted to live my life and what truly mattered to me.

This song tells the story of someone going through that kind of season.

When he was younger, he dreamed of living in the city. The bright city lights felt so different from the countryside, and he imagined that one day he would live there and become “successful.”

But once he actually moved to the city, life wasn’t as glamorous as he had imagined. Instead, his days became filled with nonstop work, always running at 120%, barely sleeping, and slowly forgetting how to enjoy life.

And in the middle of all that, he began to remember his home.

The wide open sky. The sunshine and the breeze. The smell of the fields. And the kindness of the friends and family back in the hometown he once thought he had “left behind.”

So he decides to leave the city and return home once again.

He wants to get back in that pickup truck, drive through the fields, and feel the wind under the open sky.
